2.5 million copies of Tekken 6 shipped

We are sure that many of you have been eagerly and patiently awaiting the newest installment of the Tekken series, Tekken 6. The time has now come as this week marks the official Australian release of the home version of Tekken 6, which is based on the recent arcade release Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion.

Namco-Bandai has announced today that they have shipped over 2.5 million copies of the game to retailers worldwide, so there is plenty of Tekken love for all those patient gamers out there.

Fighting fans can now pick up this game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the PlayStation Portable version is due for a December 2009 release. Look forward to a full review on PALGN in the near future.

I've bought all the ps2 releases for tekken but I just don't see myself buying this one new. It's just been in arcades so long it feels like old news before it even comes out.

Maybe I'll import it cause I certainly aint paying aussie prices for it that's for sure.

Doesn't seem to be very original, different or groundbreaking in any way at all. Even the visuals look above average at best. I don't see this selling too well.

I said HELL YEAH.

He said, I heard KofXii is better..

I didnt even know where to start with the things wrong with that statement.

It is true that it's quite old now. I played it like, more than a year ago in the arcades. I wonder what took them so long to release it. Street Fighter IV came out in the arcades a month later.

I wouldn't say KOF XII is better but the KOF series as a whole....

Still can't compere apples and oranges.

Yep, cannot compare 2D fighters to 3D fighters.

So arcade operators can make money. It's not old for those people whom have not played it before

VGChartz are stating it's sold 660,000 copies, x360 and ps3 combined in it's first fortnight, Ps3 sales of Tekken 6, more than double X360 sales.

Having not owned tekken since tekken 3 i can say that this has to be the most polished version so far.

Well maybe it's just me but king has had a major kick up the ass in the speed dept, which I love.
