Alan Wake ready in the first half of 2010

360 News | Wake up Alan!
Alan Wake, which has been in development since Fred Flinstone was a boy, is in the
final stages
of development and should be released in Autumn 2010 (the US's Spring), according to Managing Director of Remedy, Matias Myllyrinne.

The story revolves around Alan Wake (obviously) who is a bestselling novelist with writer’s block who travels to a new town with his wife. His wife then vanishes and Alan finds himself in a novel he can’t remember writing as it plays out in real life.

The game will take on an episodic, TV-style format. While it all sounds intriguing, the long delays and the episodic nature of the content - which will somehow take place in a sandbox world - give us some cause for caution. However, we’ll be sure to keep you up to date.

Awesome. I've been waiting five years, but awesome.

Hopefully the game is extremely polished when it does release if they're this close to the end of the development cycle already. This one had a great E3 showing, I can't wait to get my hands on it.
