Lost Planet 2 demo hits XBLA next week

360 News | Sample the unique alien nasties within.
Capcom has announced that the demo for the upcoming sci-fi shooter Lost Planet 2 will arrive on Xbox Live from 19 August.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be the first to have a crack at the title, while Silver members will have to wait until 26 August.

Capcom advised that the demo will revolve around a "desperate battle against the enormous G-Type Salamander Akrid boss". Players will have multiple ways to beat this nasty, with the option of tackling the beast by "shearing off its legs" or "being swallowed and fighting their way out from the inside". Each option is sure to bring about its own unique challenge.

Lost Planet 2 is set to ship out to stores on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year.

I guess this is that big fire crocodile looking thing from the first trailer. I've never paid any attention to Lost Planet before, but this game is shaping up nicely.

Can't wait to have a crack at this one! It looks to have improved on the excellent original in every way.
