50 Cent does voiceover duty in Modern Warfare 2

360 News | Leave the skull at home.
According to the blog of the half dollar himself, 50 Cent is one of many stars that will be lending their voice to Infinity Ward's upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

50 Cent has been cast in the role of "The Multi-Player Voice," and according to Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward's Director of Communications, 50 Cent will be "one of the squad voices in Multiplayer / Spec Ops." Bowling also confirmed that Fiddy will be joined by other celebs, explaining: "He is one of quite a few casual cameos in the game, none of which I can name at this point." Though he was quick to point out that Benji and Joel Madden (who both featured in photographs with 50 Cent at Infinity Ward HQ) are not part of that list of cameos.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be rappelling into stores on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 10 November 2009.

I'm expecting some epic voice work involving some random dude yelling "GRENADE MUF***A".

Not really much difference as you usually got an earful of 50 cent through some American's headset in COD4. IW probably figured this was what the fans wanted haha.

It won't be anything compared to the Cole Train from Gears.

Hey what the hell, I just mentioned this in the GH5 article, now you're ripping on me!?

DUDES!?

Guess this gives me the chance to repeat what was already said:

this is just leading up to the upcoming Griggz/Fiddy cross-over game, Call of Booty: Modern Whorefare.

Fiddy will also be producing Griggz debut album, which will be included in the MW2 Badboy Edition!!

Great. So when I hear some soldier and mumbles like he has a mouth full of sand, I will know who to blame.

Why oh Why IW did you do this/ icon_sad.gif

it's just a voice.

i mean, MW1 had that token black marine that pops on the hip hop when you liberate the TV studio.

and tbh i'm not sure "token" is correct, given the general socio-economic backgrounds of many black Americans, quite a few are "forced" into service due to their circumstances - seems like reasonable casting to me. i mean 50 Cent probably had a fairly high chance of getting into the Marines as a youngster, if circumstances had turned left instead of right.

oh dear celebrity voiceovers lets boycott the game as 50 Cent is clearly going to rap the entire script so while you're shooting he's drawing conclusions between terrorists and bitch hoes that won't shut up

Talking about an overreaction to a voice over, I'm sure IW wouldn't release utter crap into such an anticipated game. <_<

rather listen to 50 cent in online play rather then most of the people on mics talking crap. and acting like total *****
