Xbox Live Deal of the Week - 03/08/09

360 News | It's rated R.
It's Monday (or early Tuesday morning for Australians) again, which means a new Deal of the Week has started on the Xbox Live Marketplace. This week, the Arcade game R-Type Dimensions has been reduced to 800 Microsoft Points, a saving of 33%.

Coming in at 149 MB, the game combines both the original R-Type and R-Type II for an intense side-scrolling shooter experience. Players will have the option to switch between both the original 2D or all-new 3D rendered graphics completely on-the-fly, and can also team up online or locally with friends. There are Classic and Infinite game modes as well as online leaderboards to encourage you to aim for those high scores.

Please remember that all Deal of the Week specials are exclusive to Xbox Live Gold subscription holders.

Oh hell yeah!

Huge, huge R-Type fan. If I didn’t have so much to play (and so little time) when it hit I probably would’ve already been done with the game by now. But 800pts is a no-brainer, even with a full plate.

Hahahahaha I freaked out when I saw the subtitle; thought the deal was on Monkey Island which I just bought recently.
