More Force Unleashed DLC on the way

360 News | New special retail edition also coming soon.
LucasArts has announced that more DLC is on the way for 2008's Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The company also revealed the game will be re-released across retailers with bonus content.

The DLC is a brand new level which takes players to the desert world of Tatooine. The level is a direct extension of the "dark side" ending of The Force Unleashed. With Darth Vader now dead, Emperor Palpatine sends the Secret Apprentice to the planet to dispatch Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has been hiding there ever since the events of Revenge of the Sith. The level will see players explore Jabba's palace, as well as encounter the bounty hunter Boba Fett.

The re-released version which will be heading to retailers is being officially dubbed Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition. It will include the original release's levels as well as the previously released Jedi Temple DLC and the just announced Tatooine level. There will also be an exclusive third level that will take players to the planet Hoth on a mission to destroy the Rebel Alliance once and for all. Apparently, the Secret Apprentice will also have to face off against Luke Skywalker.

The DLC and Ultimate Sith Edition are both scheduled to be released in Q3 2009 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. At this stage official pricing has yet to be revealed.

Kinda glad I traded my copy back then. I thought it was an uncooked game but with the new version maybe worth just renting and playing the new content.

And those of us who have supported this game from the beginning will have to buy it again to play the Hoth level. Thanks Lucasarts, really appreciate that.

Yeah it is pretty poor, I reckon they will eventually bring the Hoth level out as DLC as well, but they are trying to be greedy and get people to rebuy it which is BS.

Sucks coz from the trailer, the Hoth bits looked the best imo
