GTAIV episode set named, dated and priced

360 News | 'Episodes from Liberty City'. UPDATE: DLC dated as well.
Back in May, Rockstar announced the second of two promised downloadable episodes for their monster hit Grand Theft Auto IV, The Ballad of Gay Tony. Along with that announcement came the news that Rockstar will release both episodes in a standalone package for the Xbox 360. This would include the first downloadable episode, The Lost and Damned.

Well, we now know the name, price and Australian release date for this package. Unlike their digitally distributed counterparts, the disc based games will not require the original game, GTAIV, to be played or owned. Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City will be released on 29 October 2009 for a recommended retail price of AUD $69.95.

UPDATE: The official XBLA release for the episode has been confirmed for 29 October as well, and will be available for 1600 MS points. We’ll have more on Episodes from Liberty City and The Ballad of Gay Tony closer to the official release. It may have taken a little longer than initially expected, but Rockstar will soon have finally come good on their promise.

Didn't really like GTAIV but everyone I've talked to has said Lost & Damned is a lot better so I will definitely be picking this up. Especially since it's standalone, stupid exclusivity.

So this is a 360 exclusive as well, I assume? Shame.

Honestly if you didn't like GTA4 I wouldn't bother (unless your reason for not liking it was Nico)

I loved both, but they are obviously very similar.

Both these episodes were paid for by Microsoft.

I didn't like Nico anywhere near as much as previous protagonists but it was more that the fun factor had been sucked out and replaced with monotonous tasks. It was a brilliantly made city, just felt lifeless. I suppose my best bet would be to rent it in any case.

It felt lifeless? Wow. I thought the others suck, just people walking around doing nothing really. In this heaps can happen, two people could crash and then they might just say something to each others and drive away, or might start a fight. And you can get people arrested by making them attack you, help cops catch criminals by tripping them etc.
