The Le Mans circuit originally opened in 1923 and utilises many local roads that are open to the public in the off-season. Forza 3 will reflect this by showcasing the age of the roads and simulating how bumpy they can be for drivers. The circuit is perhaps most famous for the annual 24 Hours of Le Mans event, which sees drivers burn rubber on the track for 24 straight hours. Coincidentally, last weekend marked the 77th anniversary of the event.
In addition to the track reveal, Microsoft announced a partial list of cars that will be appearing in the final buil, including:
- #2 Audi Sport North America R10 TDI
- #2 FSI Champion Racing R8
- #7 Team Bentley Speed 8
