LEGO Indy 2 confirmed

360 News | Crack that whip.
It's been rumoured to be in development for a couple of months now, but today LucasArts and TT Games officially announced that they're hard at work on LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues.

Details are a little sketchy at the moment, but apparently the game will follow all four Indy films, including last year's Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Additionally, TT Games are promising the LEGO franchise's tongue-in-cheek humour will remain a dominate feature in the title, and there will also be a brand new level creator.

LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is scheduled to be released in Q3 2009 on the Wii, Nintendo DS, PSP, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Um, pretty sure that there's only three Indiana Jones' movies. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was just a sci-fi/fantasy flick about aliens and nuclear fridges, iirc.

I was kinda hoping they'd reference the young Indiana jones series, maybe even other video games like infernal machine.

I bought and loved what I played of the first game, but about half way through the first movie I realised I could barely remember the movies at all, and decided to stop playing the game until I watched them again... I haven't gotten around to that...

Wait so let me get this straight: Is it a completely new game, OR, are they doing a Star Wars: Complete Saga, by throwing in the original games content and adding Crystal Skull... the press release is confusing my tired brain

^ yeah i'm with you on this one, confused icon_confused.gif

@kartanym: hope they do reference the young indiana jones series, cause if they are not re-hashing what has already been done in LEGO Indy, what other sufficient source material is there??

I hope that TT aren't shooting themselves in the foot here

I'm guessing more info will be revealed at E3. I hope to god they won't just rehash the levels from the first game. That would make me a very sad panda indeed.

I hope they change the gameplay. I got bored of Lego Batman, don't think I could play another lego game for a while.

Just started playing indy recently. Really enjoying it but half the fun is the nostalgic value. Not sure how where they can go to from here. No doubt i will get it, as i intend to do with all lego titles, once they hit the bargain bins. Any ideas if lego indy and lego batman are expecting trophy support?
