The new versions are based off the Dreamcast code and will feature full online play, using largely the same net code structure as Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, including the player match quarter mode/lobby system. Leaderboards will also be included, along with other forms of stat tracking to be revealed at a later date.
Two new HD up-scaling options will be available coined Smooth and Crisp. The Smooth option is based on 2X Bilinear filtering, while Crisp utilises 3X filtering, producing cleaner image quality. Of course, for those who like the original touch, a Classic setting is included with no filtering, showing sprites in their full pixel glory.
Both widescreen and 4:3 ratios will be offered, as well as music volume controls and support of custom soundtracks. All characters and costumes will be unlocked from the start, allowing players to get straight into it.
A PSN demo is scheduled later this week, but there has been no word of an XBLA demo yet. Pricing has been confirmed at USD $15 for PlayStation 3, while the 360 edition will come in at 1200 MS points.
