Banjo-Tooie dated for XBLA

360 News | Very late April.
Rare has just set a rock-solid date for the Xbox Live Arcade adaption of Banjo-Tooie, stating that it will arrive on the 29th of April.

The bird and the bear have enjoyed a lot of time in the spotlight of late, with Tooie joining Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and fellow XBLA game Banjo-Kazooie as recent outings for the duo.

4J Studio will be handling the port and considering the company's work on the first game, we should be in for quite a treat.

The game will carry the steep price-point of its predecessor, coming in at 1200 MS points.

Banjo-Tooie was first released on the Nintendo 64 in 2000, and follows on from where the first game left off. The game was met with incredibly positive reviews at the time, and we will expect that the port will receive a similar reception.

Be warned it pales in comparison to the first.Still fun, but when tooie was new you could see the cracks developing in rare shine through in their games.

I had this back in the day, and I'm pretty sure I finished it, I'm sure I enjoyed it but I can't remember any specifics... Guess that says a lot about the game. Definitely worth a play, but as Infested Jibbs says, perhaps not a masterpiece.
