Tales of Vesperia release confirmed

360 News | When late is better than never.
Even though it was released in the Northern Hemisphere last August, and it will almost be a year by the time that the title is actually released here, Australian JRPG fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief. Tales of Vesperia will be released in Australia. Atari will be handling the distribution and even though a vague June release is slated, that’s more than enough information for the time being.

So why are we so relieved that the game is being released here, even if it’s late? Well, the first Tales title to be released in Australia was the cult GameCube hit, Tales of Symphonia, which is actually the fifth in the main series. There was the subsequent port of Tales of Eternia on the PSP, as well as several side titles on the PSP and DS. So, Tales of Vesperia is the first main title to be released here since Tales of Symphonia.

Tales of Vesperia follows former Imperial Knight Yuri Lowell, as players will explore the complex relationship between the ancient ‘blastia’ technology, the bickering governments and its people, setting foot outside the safe confines of the cities to explore a mysterious and dangerous world. Following in the series’ traditions, there will be a real-time action-oriented battle system, as well as numerous extras such as ‘skits’ and cooking. Having already spent time with the game, we can tell you that it is definitely worth the wait.

Bought my 360 for this game ages ago. Should have been set to a worldwide release even if it meant delaying the US version for a bit.

Going to see if gametraders will take a pre-order tomorrow. I must have this on release day.

Finally!! been waiting for this game for ages.... It disgusts me that we had to wait this long when we didnt require any translation and the only thing stopping us was region coding which shouldnt exist in this day and age.

It's more the developers fault then Microsofts. Namco games are the only games on the 360 which have region locking. So blame them.
