Ninja Gaiden 2's Mission Mode DLC adds new trials and tribulations which aren't found in the main story mode. Some examples of the challenges include Kama Attack missions which see you compete to get the highest score and Survival where you defeat as many foes as possible using only a single weapon. In total there are 25 missions to play through, and there's also an option to submit your scores to online leaderboards. The download comes in at 134 MB, with the discounted price being exclusive to Gold subscription holders.
