Sam & Max heading to XBLA

360 News | You can never get enough canine and rabbity-thing antics.
Telltale Games has announced via a press release that their popular episodic series, Sam & Max, will be heading to the Xbox Live Arcade.

The announcement comes after it was confirmed a retail release of Season Two was on the way for the Wii and PC. According to Telltale, both seasons will be released on the Marketplace as full-season bundles. Season One takes the freelance police from New York City to the streets of Washington DC as the duo hunt for "a hypnotic nemesis". Season Two centres around the duo investigating a number of time paradoxes which are caused by unconventional aliens. The two seasons have also been redubbed as Sam & Max Save the World and Sam & Max Beyond Time & Space.

"With Sam & Max coming to Xbox Live Arcade and the approaching retail launch, we're reaching a larger audience than we ever have before," says Telltale CEO Dan Connors. "These new releases give us an opportunity to better communicate the imaginative stories that make the Sam & Max games so special, and to strengthen the unique identity of each season."

As yet no official release date has been confirmed, but we'll be sure to report back once more information becomes available.
