Eidos reveals more details about Lara's Shadow

360 News | New playable character revealed.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Eidos' Senior DLC Producer Ron Rosenberg has confirmed the identity of the new playable character to hit Tomb Raider: Underworld.

Just as the name of the episode suggests, players will get to play as the Doppelganger in the second Tomb Raider: Underworld DLC episode, Lara's Shadow. Rosenberg describes the Doppelganger as "a dark and deadly double of Lara with incredible powers and instructions to end the Croft lineage once and for all."

He went on to explain: "We developed new gameplay mechanics to support her superhuman strength and agility that make the experience different than any other Tomb Raider game. It's a rush to play."

Tomb Raider: Underworld's first downloadable episode, Beneath the Ashes, went on sale today on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 Microsoft points. Lara's Shadow is scheduled to appear online next week.
