Assault on Dark Athena release date announced

Atari has announced a few details concerning the highly anticipated The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.

Firstly, the game will be shipping in the United States on April 7, while Australia and Europe’s shipping date is April 24. Other exciting news is confirmation a demo will appear on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network sometime in March.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is a remake of 2004's Escape from Butcher Bay. It will apparently feature improved graphics, an extended single-player mode and new online multiplayer modes.

Its great to see that blockbuster games are getting spread over the months and not crammed into a single release period. Fear 2 & KZ2 Feb, Hawx & RE5 March and Riddick in April.
