While a final list of details is yet to be released, Rein advised there would be a number of improvements to GOW2's online gameplay. Some examples included the removal of the invisible shield glitch, as well as melee through walls and gaining infinite Lancer ammo. Other said features were higher penalties for players that quit matches early and extra protection against planted grenades and chainsaw attacks at spawner locations. For achievement fans there's also the promise of more points to unlock via DLC, as well as additional notifications for achievement progression in-game. One final note that will please fans is that the shotgun weapon will be modified so that it is more reliable during laggy matches.
At this stage the patch and DLC is expected to be released sometime this month, though Rein has admitted that's still in limbo. A full list of improvements and fixes is expected to be released shortly as well, and when it does we'll report back.
