GTA IV DLC coming in February

The first of the Xbox 360 exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content, dubbed The Lost and the Damned, will be arriving on the 17th of February next year.

According to USA Today (via Eurogamer), the protagonist of the new episode won't be Niko Bellic, star of GTA IV. Instead, players will take control of Johnny Klebitz, a member of resident biker gang The Lost.

"Johnny is a very different character than Niko, with a very different background," revealed Dan Houser, VP of creative development at Rockstar. "I can't go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released. But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City."

Fans of Niko shouldn't be too upset - he will still be in the new episode, but will only have a minor part. In addition, Houser noted that "tons of details and mysteries from the main story get explained, so it will add a lot of color to the main story."

Pricing and confirmation of whether or not the game will be released on February 17th worldwide has yet to be confirmed.

Awesome. I'm so glad rockstar went all the way with DLC, rather than bringing out some new weapons or a few side missions, they're giving us a whole shebang with a new story and character. Definetely glad I didn't sell up my copy of the game, come Feb next year I'll be back in Liberty tearing it up.

They said that the DLC would give us roughly an extra 10 more hours of gameplay, yeah? Biker missions sound relatively enjoyable. I'm happy to finally see a date set for it, but I was really hoping for some sort of extra island or a continuation with the Niko storyline.
And maybe a few more cheats being released to let us experiment with the new engine (sort of like what saints row 2 did eg, raining peds/low gravity and such).

Here's hoping that the story doesnt feel tacked on.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Brucie one. Sounds good though, glad that they are expanding in other directions than just tacking on a couple of missions for Niko

Weee, lookin good, but i also was expecting more GTA world to explore... or are they keeping that secret? New mission cool, but was expecting new environments to explore.

Playing as Little Jacob would own. Least of which missions where you get baked with Real Badman.
