New Mega Man 9 DLC coming soon

360 News | Mega Man gets harder.
The shine hasn't even come off the newly released Mega Man 9, but Capcom already has another slice of downloadable content ready for release on PSN/Xbox Live/WiiWare later this week.

As if Mega Man 9 wasn't hard enough, the new content will add an extra two difficulty levels to the game - Hard Mode and Expert Mode, for those of you out there who enjoy breaking control pads into thousands of tiny plastic bits.

Also available will be a new Special Time Attack Stage, where players take on a new boss, Fake Man, who bares more than a passing resemblance to a copper, in the game's Time Attack Mode.

These modes will come in three separate downloadable packages.

Australian release dates haven't been specified - but the content will be available in the US on WiiWare tomorrow, Xbox Live on Wednesday, and PSN on Thursday.

We quite like the blue bomber's most recent outing, even if it is harder than really hard nails.

You know, this is the future of gaming. Add-on and download packs and I am not happy. Seriously, all of theses things should have been included in the original package but making them separate and charging for it is not good.

Seriously, gaming has lost value and it just isn't worth it anymore. Look at Everybody's Golf 5. The costume pack and Oceania Course should have been in the original package but they weren't and then they added later (which is fine) but they dumped a price tag next to it. They should take a lesson from the Burnout Paradise guys and leave it large and free.

I have no problem in paying extra for DLC when it is justified, or if the original pricepoint is made as such.
I mean, look at Wipeout HD, that game has obviously been priced cheaper in the knowledge that they will release track packs and charge accordingly.
I agree with phenomenon9999 though in that this new ideology of releasing a half-game and then making people pay for what should have been in the original release is not good and can be frustrating to the consumer..

Paying for extra difficulty levels... next thing you know, companies will be making you pay for more than one save slot.
