Siam (the big 'bondage monster' in the first 3 screens)looks brilliant with the blue light on it. Never liked the initinal shots they released of it.
Most people i know that have played it seem to have liked it, though they said its not scary at all, it has one of the better stories in the series.

I thought this game is banned? Im guessing Aus is going to get an "modified version" sometime down the track?

Does the light source look wrong to you guys aswell in the fifth last screen (Nurse with the knife). Is it ment to be coming from the torch in his shirt/jacket which looks turned off?

I find in a lot of the images that the texturework and lighting are seriously off. However I'm salivating for this game solely because the character design is absolutely flawless.

Although I really hope there's a bit of an upgrade to the combat style because one thing that irks me about a lot of these games is the fact that big fights tend to boil down to how many health kits you've got and whether you can wail on the bad dude longer than he can wail on you. Especially in SH where it really focuses on melee combat. Now, given some of those creatures have a reach as long as you are tall they need to implement a slightly more forgiving movement style otherwise it will just boil down to who has more health in the end.

^ Boss battles always tend to boil down to who has more health in the end... but I getcha. ;)

I love the whack creatures in Silent Hill. Pyramid head being my fave - looks pretty rad in this one too. Begging to be destroyed - because he makes absolutely no sense.

Some very disturbing images there.

@Smurf80 - I'm guessing that a modified version of the game will be submitted to the OFLC in the near future, if Atari feel that it is worth the effort of having it released here.

@fatpizza - You'll definitely enjoy it when it arrives, make sure you switch off the lights and crank up the volume, the opening stage will freak you out

Sorry to burst your bubble but I got the US PS3 version, so I'm not sure whether the 360 version is region locked...

And it is region locked according to Play-asia

Of course a copy from the UK would work on a PAL 360 just fine

That's right. Playing this already. It's OK for a PeeS3 game.
