Tom Clancy's EndWar VIP demo on the way

360 News | Get a coupon and play the game a month early.
Ubisoft have announced that Xbox 360 owners will have the chance to play the latest title in the Tom Clancy series, Tom Clancy's EndWar, a month early. A 'pre-launch VIP' demo will be made available to a limited number of gamers via special entry coupons.

Gamers looking to get their hands on the demo will have to either ask for a unique coupon at their local EB Games from September 24, or buy Issue 34 of the Official XBox 360 Magazine, releasing on the same date. They can then use their coupon to download the VIP demo from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Coupons will be given out on a first-come first-served basis, as there will only be a limited number of slots available.

The demo itself will feature multiplayer functionality and will also serve as a final stress test for EndWar's online systems. It will begin in early October, giving players about a month of early play before the full game's release. Players looking for more information about the demo can also check out Ubisoft's website. Tom Clancy's EndWar currently has a tentative Australian release date of 30th November, 2008.

Neat, I want to try this game out.

But asking at EB Games? Half of them would'nt know what I'm talking about.

Looking forward to the game. but i will just wait untill the full version comes out. I hate going into shops. I tried to get in the beta but no luck.

Hm, I'm going to go to BigW, buy all the games I've been meaning to buy lately, then rock up to EB and ask for the coupon. icon_twisted.gif

It's all a dirty trick to try and get people to go to their shop and buy stuff, and I'll be damned if I don't turn around and pull one on them. icon_razz.gif

and what if the eb staff have no idea what we're on about?

we will look quite the fool, asking for our free endwar token like its a foodstamp or something. shame on ubisoft for making us beg.

bad marketing strategy anyway. why do they expect people asking for free stuff to then pay top dollar for their overpriced products? if anything it will be detrimental to ebs image.

I say go to borders and get the coupon code -
Saves the guys at EB games the embarassment to show everyone that they dont know about it

I should clarify my earlier comment -
at borders - you should be able to read the magazine in store and you can easily get the code - a bit of scratching on the card may be required...

Some of people may not realise it... But EB games staff read these forums aswell, and although you may think your ripping them off... your not, theres a reason they are the biggest gaming franchise in Aus and the ONLY one in NZ.

no one is ripping off Eb Games here - we all wish that they would be more well informed about games that us as it is part of their job -
How many times have we asked them a question to get blank stares - A guy I asked at the highpoint store about GRID in February hadnt even heard of the game...

I've tried two EB's today and neither knew anything about this (surprise, surprise!). Has anyone had any luck getting a coupon, or heard any updates?

If i wanted to stare at tits in a shop i'll goto JB, wish EB still had people who knew wtf i was going on about.

The funny thing is that you think the EB staff would actually care, we are paid to work there, not to care about what happens to coupons etc. The reason that a lot of the staff don't know of the coupons is that such a limited number were passed out to the stores, that most of them had been distributed before other staff members knew they existed, and we spend less time learning about these promotions, because we are listening to you people complain to us.
