Three more for XBLA today

360 News | Pirates vs. Ninjas, Shred Nebula and, er, Gin Rummy. Along with a demo of NHL 09.
After a slew of quality Xbox Live Arcade games in August, it seems like normal service will resume today, with the release of Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball, Shred Nebula and Gin Rummy.

Pirates vs. Ninja Dodgeball aims to answer that eternal question - who are better, pirates or ninjas? As you would expect, it's basically just a game of dodgeball, albeit with somewhat interesting character models. Online play is also present - up to eight players can throw balls at each other in a tournament. If you want to see this epic battle unfold, you will need to fork out 800MS points for the privilege.

As the title infers, Shred Nebula is a 2D shooting affair, set in outer space. There are forty levels available for players to shoot their way through, and eight different ships to do it with, each with its own unique weaponry. Oh, and there is an eight player deathmatch available on Xbox Live Arcade. Again, this one costs 800MS points.

Gin Rummy is exactly what it says on the tin - a conversion of the card game of the same name. There are a few variations to play with though, in the form of Hollywood and Oklahoma Gin. Whatever that means. There are also unique decks of cards to play with, and the option to play over Xbox Live with up to three other people. This is the cheapest of the bunch, coming in at 400MS points.

Oh, and there's also of demo of EA's upcoming ice hockey game, NHL 09, available to download, if you're up for that.
