There's six versions in total - a collector's edition and an 'Initiation Pack' for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Stuffed into the collector's edition will be the game (obviously), an artbook, a poster/map hybrid of Stilwater (the city in which the game is set), and a totally blinged up gold 1GB USB key, which will have a few wallpapers on it. The PC and PS3 collector's editions will also have a metal case, while the 360 version will come packed in some sort of fancy gun box. This pack will retail for AUD $129.95 on the Xbox 360 and PS3, and for AUD $109.95 on the PC. It will be available at EB, GAME, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and various other independent retailers.
However, it's the Initiation Pack where things get serious. This super ultra special edition includes all of the above, as well as a Saints basketball singlet to help you get your gangster on, money clip (which comes complete with EB vouchers, apparently), a book to guide you around Stilwater and a gang ID card, which all comes packaged in a Freckle Bitches (the main Stilwater food chain) pizza box. Unfortunately, it comes at the rather hefty price of AUD $149.95 for the 360 and PS3 versions, while the PC version is again $20 cheaper and comes in at AUD $129.95. It's exclusive to EB too. Quantities are said to be rather limited, so you might want to pre-order it soon if you're interested.
You will able to get a hold of Saints Row 2 when it hits stores on the 16th of October. So far, we think the game is looking rather good.
