Duke Nukem 3D gets September release on XBLA

360 News | XBLA version to contain new features.
According to a report out of Joystiq, it looks like 3D Realms classic shooter Duke Nukem 3D will be arriving on Xbox Live Arcade next month.

No firm release date has been set, but Microsoft representative Jason Ing told Joystiq that the downloadable Xbox 360 title will arrive "sometime in September."

Also revealed was the news that the game will feature a saved film feature, which will let players preserve their exploits of multiplayer ownage and allow them to share the replays with other Xbox Live users - similar to the system that was implemented in Bungie's Halo 3.

The game will also feature rewind functionality (similar to that of Braid and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time) which will allow players to reverse time in order to replay a section of single-player campaign - in hopes of preventing your untimely demise.

Movie mode = awesome.

Rewind mode = retarded.

The Duke does not need to rewind time, he should be able to fast forward so he can get the killing done quicker and get back to his ladies. Why the hell does Duke Nukem 3D need a rewind feature, it makes absolutely no sense to me.
