Heroes over Europe details emerge

360 News | Follow-up to Heroes of the Pacific coming in 2009.
It’s been known for a while that Aussie developer Transmission Games (formerly IR Gurus) have been working on Heroes over Europe, a sequel to 2005’s Heroes of the Pacific. Today, Atari and Red Mile Entertainment sent out a press release revealing the first details of the title.

As it’s name suggests, Heroes over Europe takes players to the skies of Europe during World War II. The game will follow the Allied campaign in battles ranging from the attack on London to the destruction of Berlin. Heroes over Europe is also powered by an all-new engine, which apparently ‘raise[s] the bar for flight combat games’ and allows players to experience ferocious dogfights. Additionally, there will be support for online gameplay for up to 16 players, high definition graphics, and extra downloadable content available from the game’s launch.

Heroes over Europe is scheduled to be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in 2009, we’ll have more information as it becomes available. Accompanying the press release were three screenshots, all of which can be found in the media panel below.
