E3 2008: Rock Band 2 setlist revealed

360 News | Meanwhile, Australia waits for the first game.
Harmonix has today taken the wraps off the set list for the upcoming multiplayer music fest, Rock Band 2.

The fact that Australia hasn't actually even received the first game yet is of little consequence, with the original game selling even better than hot cakes in North America and Europe, prompting the release of the sequel later this year. In those territories, anyway.

The set list features a few surprises - most notably the inclusion of a brand new Guns N' Roses track, 'Shackler's Revenge', suggesting that the band's upcoming album, Chinese Democracy - more delayed than Duke Nukem Forever - might actually see the light of day sometime soon.

panic at the disco your kidding me right that's not rock.

Had no idea Guns and Roses were doing a new album though. Nice to see some AC DC finally.

That tracklist is freaking epic - I've gone from 'Eh, whatever' to 'MUST HAVE ROCKBAND 2' over this news. Brilliant that the DLC for the first game is compatible, and the ability to export the tracks from the first one... perfect. After the export, and factoring in the DLC, one could start with over 150 tracks in RB2 O_O

But yeah - That track list. Wow. Love.

32. Kansas - “Carry On Wayward Son”
34. Lacuna Coil - “Our Truth”
43. Motorhead - “Ace of Spades” <== the thing that bugs me is the fact that the ending solo will be just a big rock ending.

Fetid's gaze now falls upon you Pantsu. Dressed in your finery diddling away on faux guitars and drum sets, alas i shall be but a speck of dust before i enjoy the finer faux moments that were borne from our geekier human urge of pretending to be something, that we couldn't be arsed practicing 20 hours a day for.
Now fall on your faux guitar Sir Pantsu or may all your tracklists be taken over by J-poop and the veronicas.

Pretty awesome tracklist and timely too, since I just happened to get Rock Band today. Some personal tracklist highlights:

9. Beck - “E-Pro”

13. Bob Dylan - “Tangled Up in Blue”

17. Dinosaur Jr. - “Feel the Pain”

25. Interpol - “PDA”

38. Mastodon - “Colony of Birchmen”

42. Modest Mouse - “Float On”

43. Motorhead - “Ace of Spades”

44. Nirvana - “Drain You”

56. Smashing Pumpkins - “Today”

58. Sonic Youth “Teenage Riot”

65. Talking Heads - “Psycho Killer”

But nonsense like Panic at the Disco and Linkin Park makes me die inside.

Metal is all that should be in this game, but who cares because as much as you all seem to hope..

ITS NOT COMING HERE !!!

I care. Even if it doesn't come out here it won't affect me much because by that time I'll have imported it anyway. Another win for region free gaming, and internet ordering!

Fetid: J-poop... I can't believe that I've never heard that one before. So simple, so elegant! I would love very much for the Veronicas to choke on some J-poop.

Tenacious D - Master Exploder!!
