E3 2008: Lips announced

360 News | Now you can be a star at singing.
Microsoft today announced Lips at its E3 press conference, a karaoke styled game similar to that of Singstar.

The demonstration shown revealed that it works much like Sony's hit game. However, the microphone's are wireless, and you'll be able to play all songs that you've transferred to your hard drive. There were no specifics on how this would work. The microphones will also have glowing lights that flash to the beats and motion sensors so you can 'shake' about with the song as it plays.

Lips is scheduled for an end of year release, just in time for holidays.

I have read somewhere that Lips will accomodate all your MP3s in your library - you have to upload the MP3 file onto the 360 hard drive, LIPS will decode it in game to the correct pitch etc and you can sing it .... pretty cool if you ask me ... I can already see a new singstar patch on the way to counter this .... spent $400 bucks on singstar in the last 2 months with the 2 pc3 games and most of the ps2 versions - they all run fine on the ps3 - even Singstar Bollywood icon_razz.gif
