Ubidays 08: Splinter Cell Conviction a no-show

360 News | What has happened to Sam Fisher?
One of the most promising games shown at last year's Ubidays conference was Splinter Cell Conviction, the new spy title starring Sam Fisher. After its impressive showing Ubisoft announced last year the game had been delayed and ever since then we've heard nothing.

Unfortunately it seems like Splinter Cell Conviction may be in a bit of trouble, with the game not appearing on the showfloor tonight at the Ubidays conference. There is still one day before the show ends though, so the game may appear tomorrow, but its omission all but confirms that we won't be stealthing around with Sam this year.

Given we've heard **** all in a year of development for this game, I'm beginning to worry. If it was anyone but Ubi Montreal working on it I would have given up hope.

Sounds like it's run into a little trouble but I; like Spanca, have faith in Ubi Montreal. I really hope they can take this Bourne-style idea for splinter cell and make it work

I wanted this game but I just sold my 360 to get a PS3, so that sorta sucks.
