Ubidays 08: Shaun White Snowboarding revealed

IGN has revealed the first details on Shaun White Snowboarding, a new snowboarding game currently in development from Ubisoft.

Shaun White Snowboarding will be available for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game will utilise the Assassin's Creed engine and will apparently attempt to bring some realism to the snowboarding genre.

"Shaun White Snowboarding will turn all of the traditional ideas and experiences of past action sports titles upside down," said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. "The combination of Ubisoft's innovation approach and the influence of Shaun's lifestyle and perspective make this gaming experience like no other."

yessss!!! ive been hangin for a snowboarding game!! amped 3 meh, not as good as 2 and ssx blur while fun isnt all that realistic...

As if it's not being released on Wii, with functionality for the Wii Fit balance board.

Damn! When I saw Shaun and Snowboarding I thought it would be another Shaun Palmer gamer, that was amazing fun on the PS2, so similar to the Tony Hawk of the time with great music and fun gameplay. I was pissed that Amped 3 didn't have multiplayer, the storymode was really cool but not long enough so hopefully this is going to satisfy my appetite for boarding.

That said, I've also been hanging for a good next gen snowboarding game, so here's hoping it delivers.

The AC engine is a mighty fine one at that. Definately interested, though I'm yet to gve Amped 3 a go.

It looks very promising. I haven’t played a snow boarding game since the awesome game that is 1080. I’ll wait to see gameplay footage before getting too excited.
