I'm very happy with the look of this game because it gives this iteration of Prince of Persia the difference in tone and feel it needed in contrast to the Sands of Time trilogy.
Definitely a must-buy for me (there was never really any doubt) and my favourite shot would have to be the first, with the high angle shot of the Prince sliding down the wall.
Those screens look pretty hot. I'm digging the new art style but I really can't wait to see some footage of it running. From that first shot I have a feeling the lighting and effects are going to look awesome
It's great to finally see those screens on something other than a scan. It's looking pretty amazing already. Seeing this in motion will most likely seal the deal for me.
Holy crap that's a hot art direction. Prince of Persia was always a franchise that I wanted to play but never got around to. I played the first (Sands of Time) but for some reason or another never got to play the two sequels.
Relevance to this game? None, but after seeing that art direction I totally aim to change my lack of PoP love. Gimme this game, now!
The PoP series were some of my all-time favorite games, but I'm confused, are those actual screenshots or concept-art? lol or is the game going to be cel-shaded or something? Nonetheless it still looks pretty awesome and will definitely be getting this day one ...
After reading the first look on IGN I am officially excited about this title now, while the visual style is warming to me I still find the character/background relationship slightly jarring.
However the news that a) battles will be one on one and b) the prince won't be able to take a flurry of attacks without dying, makes me incredibly excited. This feels as though it is bringing the title back to it's 2d roots, at least in terms of combat. So combat will be more about parrying, dodging, rushing in for the next attack only to back off as your enemy swings, kind of thing. Should be incredibly cool.
The open-ended Assassin's Creed engine is also more than welcome as the prince deserves the freedom of an open world in which he can perform death defying feats within. I also like the sound of the Corruption morphing throughout the game so that no area remains the same for long, will make backtracking far more interesting than before.

I wonder who will be composing the music. I assume it would be someone different than Stuart Chatwood or Inon Zur considering the change in art direction, and probably the fact that the storyline will be different as well as the tone and feel.
I remember reading somewhere that Ubisoft are intending for this new installment in the Prince of Persia series to be more in line with the One Thousand and One Nights (Arabian Nights) book in tone and feel.
