Guitar Hero World Tour is currently in development at Neversoft and introduces vocals and drums. The game will also feature wireless instruments, as well as the biggest tracklisting ever on disk. There will also be a multi-track recording studio, which will allow players to create their own songs.
According to Activision the drums will be the "most realistic drum experience ever in a video game". Unlike Rock Band, World Tour will offer three pads and two raised cymbals. There's also supposed to be a "newly designed" and "more responsive" guitar, though more information on the guitar wasn't revealed.
The Band Career Mode will be fully playable online for up to four players, and you'll also be able to create your own character, there will be several customisation options, ranging from tattoos to the types of pick.
The tracklisting for the game hasn't been confirmed, but we can expect to see Van Halen, Linkin Park, The Eagles and Sublime in the game. The game is set for release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and Wii later this year. Meanwhile, a trailer for the game can be viewed at Gametrailers.com.
