OMG its up on XBL. I just finished watching it and it looks insane!

Watched it. Loved it. Wow, the framerate is killer and I loved how much action was going on.

It didn't do much for me. I mean it was cool, but a lot of the action seemed static (enemies not even returning fire, when you get rammed by the enemy craft there is no effect just an "omph" noise). Still they have time to fix it. I'd give the trailer a 7/10 for getting me excited for the game.

^ Really. I think it totally shat on the Killzone 2 trailer released this week.

I don't think so, Killzone 2 visually looks a step above Gears of War 2 (to me, anyway) and the gameplay in both look pretty shonky. I'm not really impressed with any of them so far, and I wouldn't be surprised if the first gameplay of Resistance 2 next month fails to impress too. I personally think they should leave the hype of these games to about 3-4 months before release, because they just look too incomplete to me.

Well they both will be uber polished good games. The only thing about Killzone 2 is it's coming from an unknown developer which is a big risk. At least we know Epic know what they are doing.

Excuse me while I clean up my premature excitement.

^ ^ Eww...

I personally aggree with Mipac, I didn't enjoy the first game heaps. It was good, but got boring at times and thats about all it was for me. This game looks pretty much the same thing to me, although this particular level does look good.

Did you notice the two enemy locusts standing idly by whilst you counter-chain-sawed the other locust with your belly fully exposed?

I think the positioning and outlay of set pieces by putting you in a linear train ride like in that level will be brilliant. That fat, robot T-Rex thing shooting down the alliance thing next to you within your peripheral view is brilliant and something that I want to see more instead of un-interactive cut scenes. I think the Gears people have really taken notice of controlled and rapid, successive scenes in COD4/BioShock and will be going a similar direction. That seems to be the gist of this trailer. As someone who’s never played Gears, (I have no one to co-op with) this alone makes me want to buy the game and really sit down with it.

That’s really cool how you can pick up bodies and actually have them be useful. I would love to pile two up in a sexually weird way for screenshots.

The underlying idea of you burrowing down into the Earth’s core and fighting the locusts… You know how people make fun of gears as being this monotone game comprised completely of brown hues? This premise really isn’t helping. lol. =P

As for the PS3 vs. 360 FPS debate, I think it should be the Resistance vs. Gears franchises instead if you were to argue.

Looks epic to say the least (no pun intended). Looks like a lot more enemies on screen with a bit of polish and thankfully some beautiful outdoor areas. Sick of all the rundown buildings and corridors. This and Far Cry 2 should be enough to satisfy my appetite for the outdoors.

Looks pretty sweet, taking one of them hostage looks like it will be fun!

*excited*

Has anyone managed to get this on the net yet, rather than Xbox Live?
