GTA IV PlayStation 3 bundle confirmed

360 News | An Xbox 360 bundle also on the way?

Rumours have been circulating for a few weeks now that there would be console bundles released by Sony and Microsoft to try and entice gamers to the 'next' (or now current) generation.

Well, Harvey Norman has let the cat out of the bag early, advertising a PlayStation 3 console bundle featuring Grand Theft Auto IV. According to the retailer, gamers will be able to pick up a PlayStation 3 and a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV for $748 on April the 29th, quite a considerable saving.

A similar bundle hasn't been confirmed for Microsoft's console just yet, but we have seen retailer listings containing an Xbox 360 pro console bundled with Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV for $679.95, as well as an Xbox 360 arcade console bundled with the same games for $499.95.

d-store have been advertised both of these for at least a month now, so i'm not surprised if it turns out to be true.

PS3 bundle is on our system at work (JB HiFi) but no X360 one.

$50 saving is not that much really. I might get the ps3 once it hits the $300 mark or so.
