Soulcalibur IV Australian release date announced

360 News | A local exclusive.
Ubisoft, the distributor of Namco Bandai's titles in Australia, has confirmed exclusively to PALGN that the Australian release date for Soulcalibur IV will be July the 31st, 2008. The game will be available on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

“We are thrilled to be bringing Soulcalibur’s successful heritage to PAL territories as it sets into motion a new echelon of dynamic gameplay and exceptional game graphics on next generation platforms,” said John Parkes, EMEA Marketing Director at Ubisoft. “Offering players an ultimate fighting game experience, Soulcalibur IV will definitely be an owners ‘must have’ in building their game collection library”

Soulcalibur IV contains a newly expanded character roster, as well as multiple gameplay modes and, for the first time ever, online play. The latest images of the game can be found in our media panel.

Awesome news! Not as far away as I expected. Will definitely be picking up the PS3 version. Darth Vader FTW!

Yoda would whip Darth Vader any day. I guess we will never know the outcome of that epic battle, though.....

Awesome just a few days after, though I bet possibly either character will be available for the other system via DLC.

Its always the good fighters that have big breasted chicks hey icon_lol.gif I can't wait for SCIV because the last proper fighter I invested time in was Dead or Alive 4 and that was a quite a while back! Certainly going to be getting this on launch, great to see its coming so soon.

Can't wait for this game. Great to see a near worldwide launch frame for us at least.

YES! I've been wanting this game as soon as it was announced and even more so when Yoda and Vader were shown. Now the question is which one to get. Knowing me I'll most likely get both as i did with SC2 but its most likely I'll get the PS3 one when it drops below $70 which could be a year from the release date...

The release date is not that far off which is great.

Sweet! Now I have to get a live account. Are there any good fighting controllers out for 360 atm?

^ I'd like to know that as well, from what I've seen there are a few sticks that have been released in the US and Japan, but they are insanely expensive to import icon_sad.gif

I'm hyped for this, the SC series has always been my favourite fighter.

Urghh I hate Voldo, his one of those characters that on the internet you always get owned by, but when you use him on the internet you always get owned by some other character lol
