The game, according to Widdows, will be set in the "everyman's war zone ... the hood beyond the hood" - that is, the middle-east. Players will, like 50 Cent Bulletproof, take control of Curtis James Jackson III himself as he travels through the middle-east, though Widdows was keen to emphasise that the setting will be notionally fictional. "There's no geo-political context to this game," said Widdows. The game director also seemed keen to flush out any association with the current political climate, despite it's middle-eastern setting: "The arch bad guy - we can't tell you who it is but it's a pretty high profile American actor - will be instantly recognisable. But he's an American. The first key bad guy that you encounter, who you're actually working for at this point, is an American. The guards you shoot in the third act are all Russian."
Widdows seemed guarded on the topic of Fiddy's creative input on the game, though he did mention that, "He [50 Cent] took a look at it and he was like, 'You know, it looks really cool, I'd like something a little bit more'."
We'd comment further, but we believe Widdow's words do the game justice. 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand does not yet have a solid Australian release date, though with 50 Cent: Bulletproof initially being banned on Australian soil, it may be a while yet before we play this game.
