Rare reveals Banjo plot possibilities

360 Rumour | Only one is the real deal, apparently.
In response to the April Fools paranoia (sigh) its recently unveiled Banjo 360 website allegedly raised among the fanbase, Rare has taken advantage of timezone difference in annual industry shenanigans to fulfil such an unnecessary wish.

Offering up no less than five possible plot designs for the upcoming Xbox 360 Banjo sequel in its April 1 dated news post, Rare stimulates the speculation further by stating, in no uncertain terms, that only one of the five plots contains any genuine McCoy. Probably.

With such red herring possibilities as 'Banjo comes out of retirement to stop his home being redeveloped into tower blocks and malls', or 'Banjo and Kazooie travel back through time in pursuit of the witch's giant T.I.T' (teehee), there's definitely enough to get any bear-and-bird-and-backpack fan gossiping.

The dead cert however will no doubt be on Banjo and Grunty teaming up against a new threat, and falling in love in the process. Connoisseurs of anthropomorphism rejoice.

Search your feelings. You know it to be true.

Ugh... why on earth is the Rare site set up to look like an iPod? icon_rolleyes.gif

Hats off to Rare if it's anything other than option 4.

As much as I hate it, the time travel one is probably it. Sigh, they did that plot in Grunty's Revenge. All well, maybe they'll make the plot better this time.

^ I know Rare/BK games are no strangers to adult humour, but having the entire game focused around chasing TIT is far less subtle than I'd expect of them.

I hope they go all "Conker's Bad Fur Day" on us.

Where does it say any one of those is definitely true?

It will no doubt be some sort of strange hybrid of all of them. But if the love story isn't a prominent part I'll be a very sad panda... uh bear-with-a-bird-in-his-backpack.

It goes like this: we print some Banjo 3 story possibilities, knowing that only one of them contains any truth, and then... well, we wait ages before confirming one and denying the others.

This suggests to me that none are completely true, only elements of it are. Then theres this in there too...

So what do you think? Which one's true? Any of them, or did we make them all up? Nah, we're not that bad. Are we?
I see no certainty in anything.

Well, I always thought April Fools was the best time to announce news. If it's received badly by the public, then "it was just a joke", while if they like the news, then you can say "HA! It's actually TRUE! How AWESOME are we?!". And they'll think your some kind of child genius for coming up with the idea of announcing REAL news when people though FAKE news was coming out.

Well, let's hope the plot has nothing to do with any of those, just to mess with people's heads.

Dunno if I'm late in on this, but they've got a new silhouette of the duo in the Jiggy. Looks a little different from what we've seen so far..

Man stuff all this **** hype! Proper screen shots or gameplay vids, these stupid plot-outlines do nothing for me cuz if the gameplay turns out to be some sort of point and click adventure or some dumbed down party game it's not even gonna get a second look from me.

Show me a frickin' screen from in-game....PLEASE!! I want this game bad but I have a bad feeling Rare are are gonna make the gameplay unique just for the sake of it....when all i want is a next-gen (compared to the n64) looking Banjo-Kazooie.

If they capture half the magic of the first two games I'll be happy enough. The team that created the first game is behind this one so hopefully it's going to be good. Certainly been under wraps for a long time.

Was Viva-Pinata Party Animals Rare developed? If so they should've scrapped that crap and worked on this harder.

^ No, Party Animals was developed here in Australia.
