The golden boy trump card? Why none other than the philosophical underwater first-person shooter, Bioshock, of course -- and an over milking of it, at that. Included in a 2008 Smid Cap Conference presentation (viewable via MTV Multiplayer), outlining potential future endeavours for the company and its properties were listings for a Bioshock MMO, a Bioshock mobile game (something already alluded to by the company a while ago), and a Bioshock movie. A Bioshock branded kitchen sink -- with suitably labelled 'Incinerate' hot water and 'Winter Blast' cold water taps -- was not listed as of this writing.
Also included in the presentation as potential projects were a Civilization MMO, and a Carnival Games mobile game. While we're sure no one could care less about an MMO based on the one-hit wonder that was Civilization, a Carnival Games mobile game sounds like Game of the Year material. Le sarcasm.
Yes, it should be duly noted that all of these potential projects are just that. But just knowing that Take-Two is even contemplating some of these possibilities is exciting/depressing, depending on which side of the franchise fence you sit on.
And knowing is half the battle.
