Final Halo 3 Legendary map revealed

360 News | It's a 'black' day.

Bungie have announced today on their official website that the third and final Halo 3 Legendary map will be Blackout.

As its name suggests, Blackout is a remake of Halo 2’s Lockout stage, which featured interconnected platforms and walkways for players to battle on. The announcement also includes an interview with the producer and a few of the designers who were responsible for the stage, as well as some screens which can be found in the media panel.

The Halo 3 Legendary map pack will be available to download from April the 15th, at a cost of 800 points. Special thanks to forum member Shadow Wave for the heads up.

nah mate, there are 3 maps.

One is a brand new map, and the other 2 are remakes. one being a remake of Sidewinder (halo 1) and the other being a remake of Lockout (halo 2)

omg, i have been waiting for this map since halo 3 came out, it was easily the best small scale map. now we need some coagulation/blood gulch and beaver creek/battle creek

That's nice and all, but wasn't Guardian a re-creation of Lockout?

^ Yeah, but this one does it better apparently. It's also a very hot looking map, with Auroras in the sky.

Also you guys didn't report that these maps will be going free sometime in July

also probz a week or two before the mythic

map pack comes out

guardian was based on lockout, blackout is lockout

i would consider buying this just for sidewinder. that was a great map. snipes on top, hogs on bottom, shotties and pistols in the middle.

and lockout was my fav map from halo 2.

i'd love to have a chillout remake
