Brain Challenge to XBLA this week

360 News | Along with Bliss Island.
Microsoft has announced that this Wednesday will see the launch of two brand spankin' new Xbox Live Arcade games - Brain Challenge and Bliss Island.

In what is obviously not at all inspired by Brain Training, Brain Challenge will be the first 'mind exercise game' to grace the Xbox 360. As well as allegedly increasing brain activity, the game also promises to help develop stress handling techniques in the player. The game focuses on improving the player's five cognitive function abilities, including logic, memory, maths, visual thinking and concentration. The game sports various modes, with the flagship being the Daily Test Mode, where the players must complete a series of exercises. Stress Mode, shockingly, is designed to stress the player out, while Creative Mode is for relaxing. There's also a Child Test for, uh, children. Oh, there's online and offline multiplayer, too.

Brain Challenge will set you back 800 MS points.

Bliss Island puts players in the shoes of a blue creature thing called Hoshi the Zwooph. How incredibly odd. Apparently, Hoshi emits puffs of air, which are used to create clouds. There's 25 challenges and nine levels, plus multiplayer elements. Sounds like one for the stoners, then.

This one costs 400 MS points.
