Soulcalibur IV images released

360 News | Does the Soul still burn?
Namco has sent through the latest images for Soul Calibur IV, which is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in just a few months time.

Returning characters include Siegfried, Taki, Tira, and Yoshimitsu. There will be one minor difference between the Xbox 360 version of the game and the PlayStation 3 edition, on the PlayStation 3 players will be able to fight as Darth Vader, while the Xbox 360 version will let players take control of Yoda. Check out the images in the media panel.

Excellent screens. Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur IV, definitely a year for 3D fighters.

Though I'm a bit concern this isn't getting a arcade release first, Soul Calibur III surffered as a result of this hopefully it gets sufficient testing.

The problem is almost all of my 'fighting game' friends are all on Live (from DOA4/VF5/SFII fighitng) so I don't think the PS3 verison is for me. Although I would love to play Darth Vader.

Will there be any difference between the 360/PS3 besides controllers?

Plus isn't all the fun playing next to your mates =P. (Haven't tried playing fighters online how's the experience?)

I'd say the ports will be the same (like the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube) for SC2. The choice will come down to controller/system character you prefer.

Online fighters are great but you really have to play them against people from the same country. Lag ruins the game otherwise.

Check out the Dodo's in the backgrounds of pics 6 - 8!!
No wonder they're extinct if they hung around the outskirts of blade fights... Who knows when you're gonna get your head lopped off by a random swing??

The Lizard dude looks funky! Forked tongue would've been even sweeter.

Why is Lizard man so popular? I like hate him and stuff. But like he is one of the most popular characters.

Because when I win I can shout "I AM THE LIZARD QUEEN". Which I clearly do all the time anyway, but at least those times its relevant.

Also, is that Xiangua (however you spell it) fighting in lingerie?

Not having played really any SC at all before I wouldn't know, but he just looks like a giant bipedal funky frilled neck lizard...

Sounds like my character of choice!

Or for the Jim Morrison/Lisa Simpson fans, like Dances, he would also be a popular choice.

Is his name really as unimaginative as Lizard Man?
Not something like Hss'zzt??
