GDC 08: Ninja Gaiden 2 out worldwide in June

360 News | We wonder if it will pass Aussie censors.
Microsoft has revealed some of the latest images for Ninja Gaiden II and while we must admit that the game looks pretty impressive, every time we see it we're not sure whether we'll ever get an opportunity to play the game.

Ninja Gaiden II will be released simultaneously around the world in June, so if the game does pass Aussie censors, then we'll be ready for some Ninja action in June. Check out the latest images in the media panel.

theyll prob refuse or remove the blood and head loss, i heard they removed the blood from no more heros??

whats the difference i ask you between cutting of a limb bloodless and cutting one off with blood?? the colour red? does it make people charge the screen like a bull or something?

its a joke, just give games an 18+ rating!

judging by picture 5, no it won't get a classification. Damnit how can you be a ninja without slaughtering everything in sight

No Ninja Gaiden game has been refused classificiation in Australia yet, and the head lopping in the orignal was taken out for Germany, not us.

As long as the game is made region free, I’ll be happy but judging from the videos and the pictures, it looks like the type of game that has a good chance of being refused classification.

I don't get Australia. They pass and allow games like Gears of War where you chain saw men in half but won't allow you can't cut off a ninja's head.

Probably humans head coming off is regarded as worse than cleaving an alien in twain i'd say.

Well playing online you can still chainsaw and blast heads off humans. Lets not get started on the curb-stomp. If anything I feel Gears is more violent then NG.

I bet the OFLC focus on the one player campaign though...

well i just bothered to watch the gameplay video for the first time, I think we are in trouble with this one. Still though, when i had the first one i didn't know anything was cut at the time, and i still loved it, so even if it comes with cuts, i'll live....

Well I hope they make it region free so if it does get banned we can all get it from Play Asia etc.

Please be allowed uncensored I love these action games.

There’s actually a good chance of that, as DOA4 was, which is done by the same peeps.

Yes, but would you rather live or live!

Removing or changing the colour of the blood would actually piss me off quite a bit, and detract from the experience. And then will go the decaps and anything else that isn’t fit for 25 year olds. The game needs to arrive intact, otherwise don’t bother releasing it at all. :finger, followed with decapitation of smiley resembling OFLC suit: ... You guys don’t have that one yet? Hmph, I thought it was a given.

If this gets touched in any way, shape or form, then that’s it for me and PAL gaming. I spend huge amounts of money on this **** and I’ll be willing to do it overseas instead if Itagaki’s vision doesn’t make it the way he intended.

God of War 2 (and I’m pretty sure the first) had human blood, and it came in brutal doses. I posted this somewhere here before, and that game arrived unscathed. Also, *gasp* it featured human breasts..! Any and all excuses for cutting material out of NG2 will be hypocritical, and all PAL gamers should boycott the game (PAL version, of course!) upon release, as it’s the only way to be heard.

You can’t. You simply can’t.

Rumour is the demo is goign to hit XBL Marketplace very soon - ie in the next week or so.

But I think the rumours are based on the fact that the US Marketplace has "demo coming soon" under NG2. But "soon" could mean anything.

Wonder if we will get the demo or are demos exempt from OFLC?

Well, Australia got the full uncensored version of The Witcher, (whereas America didn't), and Mortal Kombat and Conan and GOW easily have as much blood gore and body ripping as this game. Heck, that's the whole point of Mortal Kombat, and it still got an uncensored release here.

You can't stop a game just because it's just as violent as previous games but more fun...

Of course, this game may scar some little kids, but it won't make anyone anymore dangerous than they already are...
