Ooooooo, wonder what the gameplay will be like. Too bad lately, I don't have enough time for Magic anymore. They release more sets of cards than I could handle :S

Hopefully this one will be less buggy than the Battleground.

I was more of a yugioh man myself but will get the demo to this too as I love my card games.

Now only if konami made a decent yugioh game but sadly they have all been crap from 2003 upwards.

Yep but they have only themselves to blame when they focus all there work on the hand held market. I would love to see a console card game based on yugioh with online play. Man that would just rock imo. I have nothing against the handhelds because i own heaps of yugioh games for the ds and psp but i would love a console game. icon_sad.gif one can dream.

I doubt it will be a card game incarnation because it's coming out for PC and that already has MTG: Online which is essentially a digital copy of the card game.

PS- Last sentence is article needs to have Wizards fixed.

Will it have all the cards up till now? I remember there being a deck where you can kill your opponent in one turn, but pretty much all the cards are banned in tournaments/competitions, and are ultra rare.

Also, you need to proof read articles. There's such basic mistakes in there.

This could be interesting. I can't help but think that it will be ones of those digital purchase deals. There is big money in some of those games. Apparently when the Everquest franchise expanded to a digital card game, they made a mint, but part of that could be attributed to rabid players after those rare in game item cards.

Being released on XBO 360, PC and Mac. I wonder if it will also have cross-platform multiplayer?

Pity there's no PS3 version though, but then they'd be competing against the Eye of Judgement. Still, it would make a good PSN title, there's a big hole in the PSN line-up for board/card games, and many other genres come to think of it.

Wow this is cool news. I never really got into Magic but I've heard theres a reason why its been around for so long, its meant to be a bloody good game so I'll probably end up picking this up. The last card game I played on XBLA was Uno and look how bloody awesome that was.

I remember playing it at school. Was awesome fun. Then my stupid mother put my shorts through the wash with them still inside the pockets. I was devastated.

Most people I know that are serious magic players have literally boxes of cards, and I'm talking big beer carton sized boxes.

It's a crazy addictive game.

I had about 10 000 cards, until my friends and i went through various ways of getting ourselves off the addiction, some burnt their cards, some gave them away, some put themselves in a home for ex magic players, it was a card massacre. I still have about 4000 cards though. haven't played it for about 12 years. Maybe i should give them away on here...i'll think about that...
Think i still have a demonic hordes lying around somewhere, wheel of fortune, no i don't have a black lotus....

Will these games be the card game though? As Beepos said MTG:Online already is that, so there's no point? The console versions might be card related I guess, but there's a lot of scope for (probably terrible) non-card games in the MTG universe.
