Frontlines: Fuel of War to support 50 players online on 360

360 News | Aussies won't miss out.
KAOS Studios has confirmed that Frontlines: Fuel of War will support up to fifty players on US dedicated servers. The official cap was previously 32 players, so KAOS seems to have worked pretty hard to make sure the game will play smoothly with even more players. The PC version will support 64 players.

While this is all well and good, what about Australians? Well, THQ Australia has issued the following statement regarding the game "We are very excited that KAOS Studios has achieved such a great result.

The Xbox Live multiplayer demo utilises dedicated US servers. Playing with 32 players in Australia on US servers, we have experienced minimal lag, which hasn’t affected the incredible multiplayer experience. Australian players can expect epic next-gen warfare on Live with Frontlines: Fuel of War, and we are currently investigating dedicated Australian servers for an even better gaming experience”. So, Australians won't be forgotten, like in the past, which makes us rather happy indeed.

50 Players! Awesome! Not really anything new with dedicated servers, but it's good to see MP gaming on the console scaling up somewhat.

Nice though it still has nothing on Resistance 2 with 60 and supposedly Battlefield 3 with .... 80 bloody players!

Well, it kind of does have something on both of them when you take into consideration that it'll be out in a little over a weeks time while they're far off on the horizon.

I just have a good feeling that this will happen. This is THQ, not EA.
