World in Conflict coming to consoles later this year

360 News | Now set for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
We've known for awhile that Sierra's highly impressive World in Conflict was coming to the Xbox 360, but after the game was released on the PC late last year we heard nothing about the console version, until now.

Sierra has announced via a press release that World in Conflict is still on the way and the game will be available in just a few months on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Console exclusive features weren't detailed, but the quote below seems to indicate the game will feature some console only features. We'll let you know what they are when Sierra lets us know.

World in Conflict was one of the best games on any platform in 2007 and its innovative action-focused gameplay makes it a perfect fit for the transition to consoles,” said Martin Tremblay, president of worldwide studios, Sierra Entertainment. “World in Conflict is being reinvented for Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, with innovative features and new single player and multiplayer content created for the console audience. World in Conflict on consoles will be an amazing extension of an already great gaming franchise.”

Great game and let all us console gamers pray that the Dev finds it in their heart to include mouse and Keyboard support.
