Puzzle Quest sequel on the way

360 News | Announcement slipped under the radar.

Cleverly hidden in a press release about management changes, D3Publisher has confirmed that a sequel to the Aussie-made smash hit Puzzle Quest is on the cards for 2008.

Currently D3Publisher is keeping mum with the details, with no word on proposed changed, which platforms the title will be will be coming to or the proposed pricing of the game.

The first is insanely addictive and knowing the passion that Steve Fawkner and his crew put into titles is a huge indicator that the sequel will be even better somehow.

Here is hopeing it has a couple of "preview" lines above the play feild to stop so many "lucky" drops.........something simialr to the piece preview in tetris. Its lack of one was about the only negative thing I found in the original

The timing of this news is perfect. I just finished (as in level 50 and defeated Lord Bane) the first game last week!

This news isn't really all that new ... the Infinite Interactive guys have had Galactrix info on their site for ages.

Puzzle Quest is already out for the Wii in North America, and id like to think they are planning ahead for some titles dedicated exclusively for the console. My guess is the sequel will also be directly based on the Warlords 'universe'.
