THQ done with Stuntman and Juiced

360 News | Both franchises now dead.
Two of THQ’s most promising titles in 2007 were Stuntman: Ignition and Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights. Both titles were received rather well critically, but commercially both titles sold sub par.

THQ has revealed in their fiscal 2008 outlook that they have decided not to pursue the Stuntman and Juiced IPs. So while THQ still owns the IPs, there will be no further Stuntman or Juiced titles coming out.

Just heard about this, my theory is they are going poor lol, since they also cancelled 2 other games...2 games and 2 franchises in only a few days...

THQ is only just behind EA and Ubisoft last time I looked. I'm pretty sure they're just culling games that have no real chance of paying off. I never played or read anything about Stuntman but I assume it was similar to Burnout, and Jucied is Forza Motorsport with Need for Speed Underground physics.

Juiced franchise sucks and no one would want to touch a 3rd game with a 10 foot pole while stuntman is a good game but an acquired taste.

Stuntman going = sad

Juiced going = praise the lord!

Pretty much my sentiments exactly, I've been playing stuntman and it's surprisingly well made and tonnes of fun icon_biggrin.gif, but juiced took 2 min to put me off icon_sad.gif.

Not really, you actually play as a stunt driver for several films and have to do all sorts of awesome sequences, they are really well put together and at the end of the sequence you can watch the cinematic replay of the run you did which usually looks pretty spectacular, almost as if it came out of hollywood which is very rewarding icon_biggrin.gif

Thats blows. I actually liked juiced 2, and stuntman. As for juiced 2 it was one of those games that when you first play it, its a little off putting. I felt the same way, as the controls felt real bad. But once you got used to it and was actually a good fun game. But i guess with most things you need to make a good impression first up.

No. And No.

Dammit. Stuntman is an awesome concept for a game...but wasn't quite realised to it's maximum potential. All it needed was a little tweaking with the controls, physics and the rules of task completion and there could have been a suberb follow up to Ignition. icon_sad.gif

Well, when an artist dies, his/her work increases in value. So does that mean my copy of Juiced 2 is worth more?
