Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit announced

360 News | Dragon Ball Z coming to the Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3.
It's certainly taken awhile, but Atari has finally announced that Dragonball Z will be making its debut on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with Dragonball Z: Burst Limit.

Burst Limit is in development at Namco and is slated for release in 2008. The game will feature an online mode and apparently more realistic gameplay than ever before.

"Atari is excited and ready to offer fans the next iteration of the Dragon Ball Z video game series on the next-gen consoles," said Donny Clay, Producer, Atari, Inc. "With explosive cinematic graphics and online gameplay, fans of the series and of the fighting genre will surely enjoy Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit."

Actually I only saw this last night :/ Really looking forward to its release though because the last DBZ game I played was Budokai 3 which was ages ago now.

There's been actually a few game announcments which palgn have missed, Heroes Over Europe on the RedMile site for PS3, 360 and PC, Amphibian Man at the KD Vision site for PC and PS3, and Highlander game for PS3, PC and 360 by Eidos on their site and I recently saw a trailer for it aswell.

Yes!! I've been waiting ages for this announcement, excellent! icon_smile.gif I was surprised to see it down for both consoles, since the DBZ series has been Sony and Nintendo exclusive up until now, but it does make sense since next gen games are so expensive to make. In any case, the game looks fantastic and the gameplay looks to be in the style of the Budokai games, a little disappointing since I was hoping for something in the style of Tenkiachi. Regardless, this is an instant purchase for me, can't wait to find out more, the trailer is awesome! This game had better have an online mode. icon_cool.gif

Edit: Looks like it does indeed have an online mode.
