Beautiful Katamari coming to Australia in March

360 News | Finally.
Atari has finally announced via a press release that Beautiful Katamari will be coming to Australia and that it will be released in March, 2008.

Beautiful Katamari was released in America in October last year, and until now, there has been no mention of an Australian release. Atari weren't able to confirm exactly what date Beautiful Katamari will be available, so keep an eye on our release list for the date as soon as we get it.

Finding out that the game was launched in October last year has made me pretty pissed.

Any news on it being released multi-format, or just Xbox360?

Yer, I'd prefer it on PS3, the 360 controller is balls, you can only like half of it at most and it's layout will suck for katamari icon_sad.gif

It's a 360 Exclusive, as far as I know. And yes, the PS3 controller is better suited. Heck, you could even use it's tilt controls!

All I can say is about freakin time. I saw this on the OFLC site this morning so it looks like Atari were waiting on classification before announcing a release date.

What's wrong with the 360's controller? Vechicles in Halo are virtually controlled the same way and no one has a problem with that.

It was going to be on PS3 too but got canned. There has been talk about a Wii version but so far that talk has been pretty much been hot air.

So by default: currently it is a 360 exclusive.

I hope it does come to Wii I think I'd probably give it a decent play through. How come it was scrapped for PS3? Anyone know?

I don't believe this is correct.

On another topic after playing We ♥ Katamari I found myself spotting King of the Cosmos type impressionabilty and/or sentence structure in the real world.

The easiest to link to is "it's always important to wear seat belts, especially when driving slowly on the ranch."

Edit: On the real topic I'm glad to hear that a local release is confirmed! icon_biggrin.gif

It's about time they got this one out here, I've been waiting for far to long. As for Wii and Ps3 versions, there won't be one for Beautiful Katamari but Namco have said that we should keep an eye on future Katamari announcements.

I don't remember any vehicles needing both sticks to drive in halo, and when I played my thumb would cramp up when I turned left. Actually most games I've played on 360 I've had problems with pulling left on the left analouge stick, it's far too close to the limit of what my thumb is physically capable of and so it cramps up after 30min to an hour of play icon_sad.gif.

I find the dual shock layout far more comfortable since the left stick is pretty much dead cener for my thumbs range of movement not to mention it's just so much more logical.

But meh, I'd get it anyway since katamari is one of the most fun games ever icon_biggrin.gif.

Yay it's finally coming out.

Back to ergonomics, weird hearing people saying the 360 controller is uncomfortable, I'm the opposite, my hands cramp up from playing with a PS2 controller with the way you have to bend you thumbs in, the straight up thumb to the left stick seems much better. Different sized hands issues I guess.
