This horrible Sony bashing is just that .... horrible.
To think that Sony lie and over hype their systems is bullcrap.
Sure they have mentioned features that don't always come about like the HDD on PS2. But thats usually because they know they've lost in that area, so why try and play catch up on the current gen?
Now if anyone thinks that Sony over hype their consoles because of tech demos, think again. Search out the tech demos that were shown way back in 1999 and you will see just how damn horrible those tech demos look in comparison to the actual games released.
If you can't be bothered looking for the PS2 tech demos I can upload a small 6meg file of them if anyone can direct me to a site to do that with.

Another thing to really drive the point home that the PS3 is really more powerful then 360 is a man named Tommy Tallarico. You may have heard of him, you may have not. You may love him, you may hate him. The fact is though, he's been involved with development for 170+ games in the past 15 years. His field is music and he's provided a hell of alot of music for a hell of alot of games.
He seems down to earth and he's 100% an insider of the industry, knows what the development teams want and where they are heading. He's said countless times that the PS3 launch games will look superier to the Xbox 360 launch titles. He's also stated quite a few games will be the same qaulity as Xbox 360 launch games (high resolution current gen games).
n the end, witthout breaking any of his NDA's, he's outright said the PS3 is the superier console but hopes to see much better games from the 360 soon.

Now for the topic on hand. Why anyone would waste their money on an Xbox 360 is beyond me. I personally will be importing one when stock has become much more manageable. The fact that I will be saving $30 to $40 per game is a huge incentive. What a fucking joke to charge $120 for a game thats exactly the same as a current gen $80 game.

^ you started so well, then lost all credibility doing exactly what you were criticising, albeit to another console.
(btw: the HDD for PS2 is a reality, not a missing concept, it's just almost nothing uses it.)

as for game prices, i've heard rumours that a PS3 game might cost up to $150 each, due to the higher prices of Blu-Ray production, but the reasoning they give is that a blank Blu-Ray will alledgedly cost $35(US) and so the game retail price will increase to absorb this.

the issue i have with this rumour is that DVDs cost that much when they were new too, yet games remained at around $100-110, so it doesn't really add up.

if any staff can give a headup i'm all ears.

i was able to find the following but this is only 10% percent of the value they claim the booklet contains. a large portion of the total may be off tvs or surround sound. i'm hoping for a couple of cheap pads. so many possibilities there is little point guessing. If anyone works for target/myer/kmart go and get some info from the laybuy dept.
