Microsoft isn't really giving us much of a choice.

I suppose £220 for all that lot isn't too bad... Though I guess it won't be the same price over here. >_<

It's all true people!
Don't know why they went with 2 different packs, but I'm getting the premium one. It's the better value and at a reasonable price.

Ok, £280 is ridiculous. I'll have to see if some private retailers'll sell it cheaper.

Ridiculous? Hardly. If anything it's one of the best value launches ever. Look at previous launches for example.

•Xbox 360 - £279
•20GB detachable hard drive
•Wireless controller
•Wireless Xbox Live headset
•High-definition AV cables
•Ethernet cable
•Xbox 360 Media Remote Control (limited time)
•Detachable faceplate
•Xbox Live Silver membership

Versus

•Xbox - £300
•10GB hard drive
•Controller
•crappy AV cables

Versus

•Playstation 2 - £300
•Controller
•Crappy AV cables

Considering what you get, I can't see how anyone can't be happy with the price.

I can - there's not a single game with it. I'm not gonna use a single feature of that set except the HDD, yet somehow I imagine it'll be a waste of money to buy it seperately.

Considering I paid £180 for an Xbox with 4 games (close to launch), this is exorbitant.

Buy the £209 version if you're not going to use any of the extras. £279 for a launch machine, with a 20gb HD, with a wireless pad, with Component cables (not the crappy ones you usually get), with a remote control and with a headset IS good value. The PS2 had none of that and launched at £300, the PSone and the Saturn had even less and was £350. Even the GC, that launched at £179, was closer to £250 once you bought memory cards and RGB SCART cables.
